Cebu Province

The island of Cebu in is the Central Visayas region. It is considered as the gateway to the Visayas and Mindanao. The capital of Cebu province is Cebu City, known as the "Queen City of the South."

When Ferdinand Magellan discovered the Philippines in 1521, he landed in Cebu. He brought Christianity to the islands and planted a cross there. Today, Magellan's Cross is a famous landmark.

The pictures were taken in March, 1993 and March, 1999.
